The Community Action Guide offers media tools, community-based activities and support materials to assist you in recruiting your newspaper to run The Shape We're In series and also to provide coverage of local issues and activities.

Media tools outlines the basic steps for creating media coverage with tips for writing effective news releases, radio spots and public service announcements to enhance newspaper, television and radio coverage.

The second section provides examples of effective activities for creating change and promoting healthy lifestyles. Each activity provides a concrete example of an outreach tool that can be adapted to reach your specific audience(s).
Support materials includes a summary of The Shape We're In series and upcoming meetings that promote and support active living.
